Detailsview dropdownlist not updating stages of teen dating relationships

Sql Data Source works best when it has all Commands declared. Also, Details View and Sql Data Source can work together to do an Update without any code-behind. (Details View will pass Keys, Old Values and New Values to Sql Data Source.

Only for some reason you need it for example : Sql Data Source1. Default Value = "test"; It seems Sql Data Source is used in a way that wasn't intended here.

The fix was adding the following to the Update Parameters, and removing the auto-populated parameters for 'an'.

I am new to so I'm just now getting into using Template Fields.

I have a Details View which contains a Drop Down List that has it's items populated from my codebehind when the Details View is in Edit Mode. However, after selecting an item from my Drop Down List, and clicking "Update" the selection is not updated, however the other Details View form values are.

Here is my code: Details View & SQL Queries: " Delete Command="DELETE FROM [Users] WHERE [ID] = @ID" Insert Command="INSERT INTO [Users] ([Client ID], [User Name], [Password], [First Name], [Last Name], [Email], [Job ID], [Supervisor ID], [Hire Date], [Status]) VALUES (@Client ID, @User Name, @Password, @First Name, @Last Name, @Email, @Job ID, @Supervisor ID, @Hire Date, @Status)" Provider Name="" Select Command="SELECT [ID], [Client ID], [User Name], [Password], [First Name], [Last Name], [Email], [Job ID], [Supervisor ID], [Hire Date], [Status] FROM [Users] WHERE [ID] = @ID" Update Command="UPDATE [Users] SET [Client ID] = @Client ID, [User Name] = @User Name, [Password] = @Password, [First Name] = @First Name, [Last Name] = @Last Name, [Email] = @Email, [Job ID] = @Job ID, [Supervisor ID] = @Supervisor ID, [Hire Date] = @Hire Date, [Status] = @Status List WHERE [ID] = @ID" I'm not sure where to go from here.

The most common problem with regard to receiving old data in updates is that there is a Data Bind in code-behind that overwrites the posted values.

Sql Data Source will then use these values to make Parameters.) Typically, you will only need to declare Parameters to do things like setting default values. Folow the wizard and dont forget to klik advance and Generate INSERT, DELETe.... Regardless, should it make a difference whether the parameters are in the code behind or aspx? Actualy no need c#/VB code for insert, edit, delete If you want try it: Try using simple table (ID, Fist Name, Last Name) to create detailsview, configure sqldatasource. One thing I discovered that may be some kind of indicator to what the issue is, is that on the Updating event, e.newkeys["field] contains the values of e.oldkeys. I receive no errors, just that the fields go back to readonly with their original values. Data; public partial class Membership_Current : System. Update Command = "UPDATE users SET [email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected] WHERE id='1'"; Are you realy want update id="1" only? If you want ad ID update parameter in your code : don't forget to add Sql Data Source1. Page { protected void Page_Load(object sender, Event Args e) public void Sql Update(object sender, Details View Update Event Args e) Sql Data Source1.
